well it's just two days left until christmas. ever since christmas a year ago, i have been waiting for this day to happen. why then do i not feel the excitement of christmas? what a pity.

just something i felt like saying while seeing it happen
"the curiousity of a toddler is indeed very cute. the way he smiles and reaches out a hand, index finger ready to poke and prod his way to discovering the object of interest that lay before his eyes"

too young to realise that sometimes curiousity can hurt. when he touches a hot iron for instance. oh well i guess that is now he learns. sense perception. yes tok has come to good use. right. (that was sarcastic)

i need to start work tomorrow morning. not the school kind of work. the work that doesn't really matter. i just hope that it won't be late and the deadline is very close... ><

i should have seen it coming.

went back to training for the first time since 9 days ago. that's very long!
felt super unfit. oh no i better start running a lot more to get back fitness then can get into form for time trial day. haha

tomorrow is another long day. oh man.

alright and so i watched twilight. just. at plaza sing with zhang, adwyn, mark and joyce.

for some reason, plaza sing was insanely crowded today. maybe a lot of people doing last minute christmas shopping, and maybe it's friday. kind of the last weekend before christmas. that's fast. holidays are ending.

twilight in my opinion wasn't good. it lacked the suspense that the book had, i think. ok i'm probably not reliable since i read twilight about 13 months ago and haven't touched it since. but it went by too fast. a lot of things were cut and yet the movie reached two hours. that doesn't seem right.

the characters lacked any real development, on their own. at the end of the movie, you still don't really realise what bella is like or how edward is, besides the fact that he's a vampire and he's very polite and seemingly perfect in every way. you don't know that bella is a clumsy person in an obvious way. sure a few subtle bits here and there, but i'm guessing i picked that up because i know beforehand she's a klutz. okay maybe i'm too critical and that was a bad example.

but in general, like adwyn said, it seems very shallow. everyone just has names attached to faces but nothing more. it looks like they (the production team or whatever) are more interested in introducing every character first. they showed mike, jessica, angela, the cullens, the quiletes (did i get the spelling right?) and almost about everyone who is anyone in the first book.

but then again, i'm not exactly sure how to do it. it felt short, probably because there was no real depth. but i think the movie had most of the important events inside, it was just too quick. the climax didn't feel climaxy at all. it was all too fast, especially the chase. it didn't occur that quickly in the book.

okay i don't know. something's not right with the movie. it lacked the necessary action and drama. felt a bit tame. too tame. and shallow. what a pity. oh well at least i watched it.

and so i'm back from shanghai. sort of.
went shanghai/suzhou/wuxi/xitang/hangzhou in a matter of 5 days. haha and went back to shanghai. some stops were real short though. half a day?
i like wuxi best. the wind when at the lake which is so large it looks like the sea (you don't see land past the horizon) was really cool. kind of literally. it was so strong! i always love a good breeze. although it is winter there and the wind just makes it colder. and i was only wearing a normal long sleeve tshirt and my blue adidas jacket. not exactly the kind of thing one would wear when in such cold weather. i must be insane.

somehow i still managed to drink starbucks twice. haha

mcyc camp 2008. it is now over.

didn't have the best of starts, got a bit too worked up. sorry.
after that, i think it went quite alright.
somewhat glad it is over.

i am now into december. not good.
