but gotta catch up with crp and lit hw already..plus the new hw...
haix..shud have done it in the hols..but week 4 was purely leisure...
boat trip..db8 camp...*still missing them...*

ok...sch started out...quite ok lah...
but still no gd!...no sch better...

lolx...cant really concentrate...still thinking bout stuff like db8 camp...
like the fellowship in music camp...boat trip...db8 camp...

db8 camp...
only went for 2nd and 3rd day...
second day...met my group...
kylie...edmund..and rachel...
i noe kylie...edmund..my junior whom i didnt noe i had until that day...
and rachel...sec 1...from sc...
ok...many task...and my seniors..haha...those task r like...outrageous...and super embarrasing..but o well...wheres the fun in non-embarrasing task?
at least my group was gd kaes...got to noe my junior edmund better...talked to kylie and rach...
haha..i think i was slacking the most in the task...juz standing around
haha...i wonder if its coincidental...during the open numbers for the spaghetti thing
that it was edmund and rachel...hm...
haha...walked around...tried to find erm...benjamin sheares bridge...
but in the end got lost..o well...then took a cab to sentosa...
went siloso beach...haha
got dunked...and buried!...and climbed a tree...unfortunately without my shirt
since i took it off so it wont b wet when i went into the sea...
and o no...everyone saw that pic already...and saw how fat i m...haix
o well...it was still fun...really fun kaes!
i think its better than last years amazing race!...or as fun...lolx...both very gd lah
then i went home...to shower..then go merchant court with lloyd...
yay!

madam rc treated dinner...so nice of her =)
haha...ate a lot...and well...saw matthew chek...who didnt recognise me...=(
but o well...the dinner was great!...ate a lot...became fatter..haha
but really gd...

3rd day...haha...even though group 7 and 8 merged...we still had 4 ppl...cuz ccm went off early
edmund went to watch a movie...but came back later..
so 1st db8 *for me*...only had alison..me...rachel..and zixing...alison or how u spell it
didnt speak...i went 1st opp...hardly do it..but o well...had fun!
2nd db8 for me...o my gdness!
alison 1st prop..me 2nd..edmund who came back during prep was 3rd...
haha...lloyd...lis and michelle or something like that in opp...
they came out with a rubbish case...while we came up with a serious case
thanx to josh hiew..sam chan...*the other one*...april and joan
who helped us..like think of lotsa things...
haha...i gained a lot from that prep session...
and from that db8!..o my...d crawshaw ruler of the world?!
haha..my first really wrong db8...
really fun!

great camp...=)

not to mention the boat trip...the 4th week of the june hols...

o well...juz blogging...

super long never blog already lor...

juz came back from my grandfathers birthday dinner..
somehow didnt feel full...until i ate the fruits...
haha...i think i hate more fruits and vege there than yesterday and friday combine..

haha...gd dinner i guess...

yay!...went for class outing...which me and russell planned..and i had to call like the class
but tkk helped...thanx!
22 ppl in our class...beforehand..as in before hols..knew 17 could make it..guess how many went?
like 9?!...including me...
went to watch batman begins..5 of us...not all wanted to...
and seriously..it rox!

o btw...read split second...in 2 days..for me...its gd already kaes...
cuz im a slow reader...and its like wat..481 pages?
but o well...it was too interesting couldnt put down the book..ok...not that bad
but it was really gd...thats the kind of book that seriously interest me!

argh!...so much hw...

but surprisingly got time to blog...heh...my priorities arent straight...

o well...so much hw...
eng - crp and erp..read books and do assignments on it...only read like 2/3 of my erp book...havent touched my crp book..how?
chi - 10 pages of book review..4 jian baos..finished 6 pages...the rest havent done...
math - last years end-of-year paper 1 and 2...barely touched...
life sci - not clear on wat i have to do...as in wat im suppose to research for my group...haix...
geog - 2 wks...the only thing i finished =p
hist - some super hard assignment...o well...havent touched it...
lit - read a lot a lot a lot and write 1 essay...haix...

1 week to do that...cuz my 4th week is gone...o well...

work hard sam...

o btw...yesterday..i was wearing the acsi corporate tee...
then i was like out...after library..my father went to buy a drink...
then while waiting...one guy stared or looked at my crest...then looked behind..
and saw the words anglo-chinese school (independent)
then he asked me..."r u samuel chan?"...or at least i think so...
i was like...erm...yeah?...then he walked away...
the funny thing is...i dunno who he is..and how on earth does he noe who i m?
i was too stunned to ask who he was or how he noe me...
o well...haha..an eye-opener i guess...

ooo...went library...borrowed books to read...
very rare..cuz im not a bookworm kinda guy...
hardly read books...
went only for crp and erp...well..
i borrowed pride and prejudice for crp
and the age of innocence for erp...

so far only read 101 pages of the age of innocence...o well...not bad for me already...
since i came back like 4.45pm?...and stopped reading at 9...
showered...ate dinner...slept while reading...ahahaha...and watching tv...
so not bad already kaes...and im a slow reader...juz gotta tahan few more days...
haix..not sure y i dun really like reading books..but currently..the age of innocence is rather interesting....

haha...borrowed 3 other books...2 by philip k dick..or something like that...supposedly a very pro sci fi writer...and the synopses for the 2 books r like super interesting..and he wrote the minority report...yeps...and another book called split second...ooo...interesting..very interesting...

o well...nothing much to blog...

oooo...i luv music camp...

but o well...

o o...went sungei buloh today...wasnt that bad as the last time...
no one sank in...not much...except the ranger...
but he was wearing boots...but bad enough kaes...
he sank up to his knee...then he was stuck...
well duh!...if u sink that much!..u confirm stuck..and hey..
i have the experience..its like quite difficult juz to get ur feet out...
so he asked for the bucket..that held the saplings and bamboo sticks..
then he had to use the bucket...then put it on the ground...then use it..
to push himself out...and his feet totally came out of the boots...
like one foot out...then he stood on the ground barefooted...
surprisingly..its solid enough for him to put the bucket..
and not make it sink..and for him to stand there barefooted...
so he came out barefooted...or barefeeted..since its both feet...
*lame!*
so he had to use his hands to pull the boots out...its like...
totally submerged...its below the ground level...so he muz have
sank a lot a lot a lot...worse than me...mayb even worse than russ!
but o well...

now gotta concentrate on homework...

o well...shall blog more bout music camp i guess...

the workshops were great!...very enriching..learnt a lot...

1st workshop...by uncle rubin...
leant how to sing properly...couldnt exactly draw the link at first...but...
i found out that hey!...helps some ppl..to sing hymns with more conviction..
louder...*the camp is to let the youths appreciate hymns more*
yeps...i found the missing link!...haha

2nd workshop...by john
i would say the one where i learnt the most...
very detailed..quite indepth..learnt lots...
bout music...songs...y music and y words...
wat is gd music...and wat is bad music...
the worlds music...y is it bad...
wat exactly is the worlds music...
how to better identify it...
music and the church...
i guess lots more...

3rd workshop...by some guy called tiong kiang
yeps..thats his name...shud b...if i rmb correctly...
the heritage of hymns...
how rich hymns actually are...
they are juz..simply filled with so much...
feeling...and praise for the Lord
there is juz...o well..hard to say...a lot of
like...depth?...i guess so...
on the whole quite a gd workshop too...

haix...all 3 r gd lah...the whole camp was great!...
games... fun...great job committee...
workshops...already said...wat else is there?
meals were quite gd...i managed to not eat veg for a few of them...
haha...but couldnt escape for some..o well...
fellowship...unforgettable..

yay for music camp!...
the church shud like mayb organise more of such camps...
juz make sure its youfs participating...

ok...shall blog more bout music camp another day...

juz wanted to say that the whole camp on the whole...oops..not intended...
was really great!
learnt a lot of different and new things...
the workshops were great...the hymns...nice...
i now appreciate hymns...much much more...

another really great thing...the fellowship!
haha...last night was especially great...
john...joel..jiayi...prisci...nat...amelia...leticia...rachel...angela..isaac liu...kai...hm...did i miss out anyone?
like all gather in one room...after going thru all sorts of things
in the courtyard...playing some hand game...ok...jiayi...me and nat didnt..
instead juz talk bout some stuff...then..did some...erm...
more flexible stuff!...lolx
then after escaping uncle jason....we go into one of the rooms..the ground floor one
then like play truth or dare...but since so late...
no one took dare...instead became truth or more truth...lolx
i was like the one everyone wanted to ask question...
becuz of a rumoured *ahem ahem* with *ahem ahem*...
but nvm that...was super fun...and the fellowship was really nice...
its like i talk to ppl i dun usually talk to...like say...hm..nat?
but the night aside...

the afternoon!...after lunch...we played it again...but less ppl now..
john...occasionally inside...joel...isaac...me...prisci...nat...amelia...rachel...for a short while..
erm...cant rmb...but we had like stupid dares...like do a catwalk...joel didnt wanna do it
and i did it for fun!...so fun kaes! lolx
then the worst dare i received...other than those which required me to take off my shirt...
i had to call weizhen...and then say i miss her...like what the...
so yeah...and like everyone was like...ok nvm..shant elaborate...
the ultimate suaning!
but other than that..the whole truth or dare game was fun...
the fellowship was nice...great...awesome...
i hope that it will help to restart or make some frenships better...
like say with leticia..and nat...and mayb isaac..though i think we r already like...
frens...

yeps yeps...

hymns r really great...great heritage...more meaningful...
hope these will last...
this new appreciation of hymns...and the hopefully better or new frenships...

great job to the committee for planning it...i would say its a success!

finally!...ltc!

this is roughly bout the first day...
like we come in full u...then have muster parade...
had to show my boots for show parade...cuz the night before
i was packing and realised need to polish...so did a not that gd job
then blahblahblah...found out my group...
ian toh..jerrold tan...lee yiwei...wong wing hing..and seb yap..yeps..
after some other stuff...we went to pitch our tents!...tents we b sleeping in
for 3 whole nights!...so yeah...had to make it safe...and unfortunately
we werent that gd...so had to pitch and then strike for like a few times...
o...we were late a few times...so yeah..had to pump...
o wait!...before that we had to standardise the uniform rooms...
and yeah...took quite long too...i think we pumped there too...cannot rmb..
we had leadership lessons...then lunch...then more lessons...then the tent part...
then after that went for pt...did some stretching...then everyone had to do...
3 sets of 5 pull ups!...ah!..i can like barely do 4...but luckily its assited...*whew*
then some polishing lesson...before having drill...yay!
after drill...lower the flag..then dinner...then show parade...where we show our uniform parts
have some devotions..before having the night hike...so fun...like walk here walk there..
then come back all sweaty and tired...then go bathe...
i was soo super lazy and tired..i only showered with water...*ewwww*
then duh after supper go sleep lah..so hot cuz we closed all the tent flaps...
next day
nothing much lah...juz was late more..pump more...in the morning was like real bad...
so everyone got defaulters...then like blahblahblah...
then go church!...but everyone so tired..some were sleeping during the service...
tsk tsk tsk
then lunch...inspection..i think got some pumping...drill...yay!..had those more slack drill...
then more lessons...pt..cant rmb wat we did..then lower the flag...dinner..worship..then
night games!..it was quite fun...but haix...the blue team...*with me inside*...lost
sad hor?...but anyways...quite fun...then had supper...
diff groups had diff supper based on the winners of the game...
but then one guy...*mayb me..lolx*...suggested sharing...
and yeps..we shared...and i muz say it was much better...cuz like..nvm...
then sleep...wait no...defaulters..then shower...but i was super tired and lazy again...
this time i juz like wet myself with water from the tap..then powder bath...
*can hear like lots of ppl go ewwwww*
then third day nothing much too...more or less the same..then had like night special..preperations
and then had lots of shower time..so this time i bathed...with soap and shampoo..lolx
im so disgusting right?
then sharing...then supper..lights out...wait no...i was one of 9 ppl to go for drill...
then exploration of the sch with drill....lolx..quite fun
then fourth day nothing much too..but had to go for math olympiad..
whoa..so difficult i gave up halfway..lolx
then came back..for lunch...and like after that...we had to clean up the uniform rooms...
took 2 hours..and still not gd enough..was getting pumped..the sec 2s..were slacking
and i mean sec 2s..including me!...
so we had to run round the corridor in 1min 30 secs as a cohort..and trust me..its not that easy
first attempt..2 mins..2nd...1min 38 secs...
after the 2nd attempt..warrant ming han have a like speech...and i felt like a whole rush of emotions
i found tears welling up in my eyes...and i was trying to hold them back...
3rd attempt...we ran...mr allan lee with the ic in front...the seniors running at the back too...
but the sec 2s were one bunch..encouraging each other...the faster ones in the centre and back..
shouting their hearts out..encouraging those in front..who r the supposedly slower ones...
this time...1min 30 secs flat...warrant ming han have another speech...one that reminded us...
of the unity we had...and to continue as a cohort with such unity that they saw in that run...
and yeps...i cried...again..this time about 1 drop flowed down my sweaty cheek...
the first time i felt the sec2s were really united...as one cohort...
then after that went to lower the flag..plus parde...then yay!..go home!...

went home...bath...like whoa...scrub myself...and then like..after dinner..
cut hair!....finally...wanted to cut before camp...but well...unforeseen circumstances...
yeah...then like slept at 12...not that tired..but yeah..well...once i was on the bed...
whoa..i slept like quite fast...lolx
